September ’25 Programme

We are open for the new term starting next week! After a long summer, we are excited to welcome back familiar and new faces alike…

Check out our weekly programme of drop-in sessions below:

🎨 Art Tank on Tuesdays (Sch Yrs 7-13) and Thursdays (Sch Yrs 5-10) 4-6pm and Junior Art Tank (Sch Yrs 3-6) on Wednesdays and Fridays 4-5.30pm. The sessions explore all types of visual art and provide the space for creative freedom and exploration.

🎧 Tech Crew on Tuesdays 7-9pm (Sch Yrs 8-13) is all about what happens behind the scenes in technical theatre production. Participants will gain expertise in sound, lighting, and stage management. This could be anything from designing and programming lighting for theatre plays or musicals to mixing sound for bands, musicals, and shows.

🎸 SoundCheck on Tuesdays 6-9pm (Sch Yrs 7-13) and Wednesdays 6-9pm (ages 18+). A music development space for both young people and adults. No previous experience in playing an instrument is needed, just a love for music! Meet like-minded peers, develop your current skills or pick up a new instrument and get jamming.

Our weekly sessions are drop-in and are just £3 per session (£5 for adult Adult SoundCheck), Brand new to KA? Participants get their first session completely free!

Upcoming Projects:

What to expect in the coming months? As well as our weekly programme, we have some exciting projects on the horizon! At the end of the month/beginning of October, we will be starting our 2026 National Theatre Connections programme. This exciting and popular initiative is centred around the National Theatre’s annual, nationwide youth theatre festival, which celebrates the creativity of young people through theatre and has a proud history of empowering the next generation of theatre-makers.

Once weekly drop-in sessions, You KAn Dance! and Young Writers will be back as more structured 6 week programmes starting in Spring ‘26. Our dance sessions are all about having fun, moving your body and learning something new. Young Writers explores different aspects of creative writing, including poetry, prose, songwriting, and scriptwriting – all abilities are welcome!
